Maple Baseball Bat Wood Pen - paired with Zebra Wood

This small batch of executive wood pens was reclaimed and carved from the wood of broken baseball bats.  The wood you actually hold while writing is maple baseball bat wood, paired with an exotic West African Zebra Wood that has rich striping and eye-popping contrast. 

The pens come with attractive chrome hardware and black ink, which uses standard ink refills that can be purchased at any office supplies store.  Comes shipped in a black gift box.

Meet the Maker - Mark Lepore is a lifelong woodworker and retired Los Angeles Fire Department Captain that resides in Southern California.  Mark cut down several broken maple wood bats for this project and turned the wood on a lathe into these beautiful creations.  Mark and his niece Molly operate his wood working business called GarageMonkeyProduccts and his attention to detail is obvious in the finished product. This project is our first of hopefully many collaborations with Mark and Molly.
